High Desert Roast
Fresh-roasted coffee, rooted in the heart of Utah
Haven is a locally owned coffee shop in Nephi, Utah, near I-15 and the foot of Mount Nebo. Beside the old water wheel, we roast coffee in house and welcome locals and Utah travelers with a cup worth stopping for.
Coffee with a sense of place
Haven lives where Main Street, mountain country, and the sound of the creek meet. Our historic brick home sits next to Old Mill Park, looking toward Mount Nebo and welcoming everyone headed through Utah.
Nephi is our home—a friendly central-Utah stop near I-15 and a natural pause on the road to Utah’s national parks.
Just beyond the shop, the creek and historic water wheel give Haven a setting unlike an ordinary highway coffee stop.
We roast coffee in house in small batches, bringing craft, aroma, and a distinctly local story to every cup.
The fresh-roast difference
Freshness changes everything. By roasting in house, we can pay attention to each batch and serve coffee while its aroma and character are at their best.
Choose a familiar espresso drink, try a Haven specialty such as the White Rabbit, or take fresh-roasted beans home for later.
The person behind the roast
Tony brings curiosity, care, and years of hands-on experience to the roasting process. His work gives Haven’s coffee the freshness and personality our regulars come back for.
For Tony, a good roast is not only about the beans. It is about making something memorable for the person on the other side of the counter.

From green bean to your cup
Roasting is where origin, heat, timing, and instinct come together. We monitor every batch to develop the flavor already present in the coffee—not cover it up.
Come as you are
Haven is a place to meet, recharge, and enjoy a little character. Start with a fresh-roasted drink, then follow the coffee-word stairs to the rooms, games, plants, and Old Mill Park views above.
The way up—and five stories from the second floor
The second floor feels quieter and more personal: a chessboard ready to play, plants waiting for new homes, and windows looking toward Old Mill Park. Choose a corner and make the pause your own.
Your first Haven ritual
From the Main Street entrance, the hand-lettered steps lead you up to the coffee shop itself. Mocha, latte, espresso, cappuccino, and the rest make the climb feel unmistakably Haven.
By the time “Cardio then Caffeine” is behind you, your fresh-roasted drink—and the whole second-floor story—is just ahead.
01 The outlook
From upstairs, Old Mill Park opens beyond the windows: the historic water wheel, moving creek, footbridge, tall shade trees, and lawn. Running water below turns an ordinary coffee break into a moment connected to Nephi’s history.
02 The deck
The deck is tucked into the second-floor treetops, with umbrella shade, room for conversation, and the sound of the creek below. Step through the upstairs door and the middle of town suddenly feels a little farther away.
03 The gathering room
Window light, artwork, a long counter, and a game table give the upstairs the feel of a local living room. Set down your drink, catch up with a friend, or claim a stool and watch Nephi go by.
04 The plant shelf
Bags of Haven coffee share the shelves with potted plants that are sold year-round. Every pot adds a little life to the room—and if one catches your eye, it can come home with the coffee.
05 The invitation
A set chessboard is a simple invitation: bring a friend, choose a side, and let one more cup stretch the game a little longer. Upstairs, there is no need to rush the next move.
Come for the fresh-roasted coffee. Take the stairs and discover the rest of the story.
